Coaching change: Bill Sullivan, who was the first football coach at Staten Island's Moore Catholic, was fired from his head coaching job at St. Anthony's in Jersey City, N.J., the Jersey Journal reported. The paper said Sullivan was dismissed after reportedly using an ineligible player.
Sullivan was also the school's vice principal.
Sullivan had led the first-year Friars program to a 3-1 record that may be revised to 0-4 if forfeits are declared because of the use of the player.
