An illegal procedure call stalls the drive. Brandon Lockerby comes on to kick a 26-yard field goal for the Irish. Aquinas 10, Greece Athena 0, 4:15 remaining. (Scoring drive: 8 plays and 86 yards)

Athena possession begins at the Trojans' 32. Jeff Gerace's reception and run keeps the drive alive to midfield.

Second quarter: First quarter ends with Athena sitting on 3rd-and-6 at the Aquinas 26. Illegal procedure penalty and then Darryl Parker's sack of Joe Trimboli take Athena out of field-goal range and force a punt with 11:15 to go.

Aquinas goes three-and-out and punts. Athena's Louie Polizzi calls a fair catch at the Trojans' 43.

Greece Athena calls a timeout with 8:24 to play to think over a 3rd-and7 at its own 46.

First two plays after the timeout are Joe Trimboli's 10-yard throw to the right to David Howell and Khyrie Jones' 11-yard run. Two plays later, Trimboli hits Isaac Floyd for 17 yards on the right side, with Jalen Dennis making a TD-saving forceout.

Two Khyrie Jones runs get the ball to the 9, but Anthony Bianch breaks up a 3rd-and-1 pass, nearly picking it off. Steve Wakefield comes on and kicks a 22-yard field goal. Greece Athena 3, Aquinas 10, 5:20 to go. (Scoring drive: 10 plays and 51 yards)

Wakefield drived the kickoff through the end zone. Aquinas goes three-and-out again, with Christian Mopy laying a big second-down lick on Casey Vogl.

Athena misses a huge opportunity on the first play after a 29-yard punt. Trimboli laterals far left to Polizzi who hit David Howell down the middle to the Aquinas 2, but it all comes back on an illegal shift penalty. It becomes a three-and-out from there.

Athena starts at its 48 and puts a late drive together, including a 15-yard Dwayne Cunningham carry to the Aquinas 34. With 16 seconds left, Kyhrie Jones carries to the Aquinas 20 for a first down and the Trojans use their last timeout with 11 seconds left.

Athena gets greedy and sets up for one more throw before attempting the field goal -- Trimboli is pulled down by Darryl Parker on a desperation scramble and the clock runs out on the first half.

Athena starts on its 20 and overcomes a false start. Trimboli goes for 11 yards to Polizzi and 41 yards down the middle vs. double coverage to David Howell to the Aquinas 24. Khyrie Jones loses 2 on the next play and Athena has to burn a timeout to avoid a penalty for not enough men on the line.

On the first play after talking it over, Trimboli overthrows Howell over the middle, and Chris Bostick picks it off.

The Little Irish take over at their own 15 but go nowhere after a Messina first-down carry for 11 yards. Athena starts at its own 43 after the punt.

Fourth quarter: Aquinas' Sam Torchia picks up a second-down sack of Trimboli at the Athena 39, and the Trojans end up having to punt with about 9:15 left in regulation.
