NOTES:
-- Williamsville North begins the new week on a nine-game winning streak.
-- It was a good week for McQuaid with wins over Fairport by 5-0 and Penfield 4-2,
a pair of Section 5 foes ranked in Division I. Pittsford slips a couple of notches
after a 3-1 loss to Batavia/Notre Dame, which has established itself as a legitimate
Division II threat.
-- The key intersectional result of the week may have been Victor's 3-2 triumph
over West Genesee, which retained its place in the Section 3 pecking order with a
2-1 win over Baldwinsville.
-- Games we'll be watching closely this week: Webster Schroeder vs. Batavia/Notre
Dame and the Niagara-Wheatfield vs. Kenmore East rematch on Jan. 20. N-W scored a
7-4 win over Kenmore East last week.
-- Grand Island also dinged Kenmore East 3-0 as the always-fluid Section 6
hierarchy in Division II continues to take shape.
