Four-gone conclusion: Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake tops ASC again
(July 18, 2012) -- If the winner's identity in the 2012 Kerr Cup surprises you, then we also have breaking news for you regarding Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.

Having shared the 2011 NYSSWA All-Sport Championship with Cazenovia after outright victories in the first two years of the competition, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake is again alone at the top in combined scoring for boys and girls programs among all New York State Public High School Athletic Association schools.

The Spartans, a consistent Class A power in Section 2 and a regular state tournament contender in numerous sports, amassed 50.5 points to edge Garden City (48.67) for the top honor. Fayetteville-Manlius (Class AA), Bronxville (B), Greenwich (C) and Chazy (D) also earned honors in their respective divisions. It was the second triumph in a row for Chazy and second in four years for Bronxville.

In boys scoring, Class A Maine-Endwell finished atop the list. Other outright class winners were Victor (AA), Aquinas (B) and Lansing (C). Bishop Ludden, John A. Coleman, Sackets Harbor and Hamilton shared the Class D top spot.

In girls scoring, Class C Greenwich and Class AA Penfield tied at the top of the scoring. Other outright class winners were Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (A) and Bronxville (B), with Chazy, Batavia Notre Dame and Elba ending up tied in Class D.
