Leading off today: Four Warsaw wrestlers with a combined season record of 174-12 were among 120 competitors added Wednesday to the NYSPHSAA wrestling championships.
Eighth-grader Sam Wolf (99 pounds), junior Aaron Mann (220), and seniors Josh Griffith (152) and Dylan Royce (195) were added to the Division II field competing Feb. 27-28 at the Times Union Center in Albany. Mann's 53-3 record made him the winningest wrestler added through the wildcard process. Griffith was a qualifier for the 2014 tournament.
John Glenn, Shoreham-Wading River and Watkins Glen were awarded three wildcards apiece. Among the John Glenn trio, Matt Porrello (152) and Edwin Rubio (heavyweight) were 2014 state-meet qualifiers.
Section 11 has captured at least five Division I championships for six consecutive years. With a stagging 21 wildcards added to its 15 large-school automatic qualifiers, Suffolk County would seem poised to reap another slew of titles.
Section 3's roster of 20 wildcards includes 18 in Division II. Section 5 is next on the list with 18 wildcards, including 12 in the small-school tournament.

McIntosh shaved more than five seconds off her personal best to finish in 1:28.78. Janine Davis of North Arlington (N.J.) Queen of Peace set the previous record of 1:29.27 in 2005.
"At first I thought I was a little tired and was hearing things," McIntosh told The Journal News. "Then I saw the
