Aug. 23, 2007: First week of practice in progress for CHSFL teams
   Leading off: When the CHSFL began practice on Monday, Aug. 20, the installation of the offensive, defensive, and special teams schemes was in full swing leading up to the first day of full pads on Saturday, Aug. 25.

   Here is a rundown of the 2006 champions, the 2007 divisions and the upcoming non-league-game Kickoff Weekend. So everyone knows, the CHSFL is comprised of 22 teams from the five boroughs, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties.

   2006 Champions:

  • AAA: St. Anthony's (Long Island)
  • AA: Xaverian (Brooklyn)
  • A: Cardinal Spellman (Bronx)
   2007 CHSFL AAA (alphabetical order):

   For openers: The non-league Kickoff Weekend schedule for Sept. 7-9 includes nine out-of-conference games:

  • Sat, 9/8: St. Joseph's Collegiate, Buffalo(Monsignor Martin AA) @ St. Anthony's (AAA). 7 p.m. (2nd game of Home and Home).
  • Sat, 9/8: St. Francis, Buffalo (Monsignor Martin AA) @ Holy Trinity (AAA). 1 p.m. (2nd game of Home and Home).
  • Sat, 9/8: Xaverian (AAA) vs. St. Joseph's-Montvale, NJ @ Giants Stadium. 4 p.m.
  • Fri, 9/7: Chaminade (AAA) @ Kingston (Sec 9, Class AA) 7 p.m. (Continued Rivalry).
  • Sat, 9/8: St. Joseph-by-the-Sea (AAA) vs. Binghamton (Sec 4, Class AA) @ Carrier Dome, noon.
  • Sat, 9/8: Holy Cross (AA) vs. Mansfield (Mass.) H.S. at Endicott College, 3 p.m.
  • Sat, 9/8: Christ the King (AA) vs. Masconsomet (Mass.) H.S. @ Endicott College, noon.
  • Sat, 9/8: Xavier (A) @ Peekskill (Sec. 1), 1:30 p.m.
  • Fri, 9/7: Moore Catholic (A) @ Tappan Zee (Sec 1), 7 p.m.
   In addition, there are six inter-divisional, non-league games:
  • Fri, 9/7: St. Peter's (AA) @ Monsignor Farrell (AAA), 7 p.m. (Staten Island Rivals).
  • Fri, 9/7: Stepinac (AA) @ Iona Prep (AAA), 4 p.m. (Westchester County Rivals).
  • Fri, 9/7: Mount St. Michael (AAA) vs Fordham Prep (AA) @ Fordham University, 7 p.m. (Bronx County Rivals).
  • Sat, 9/8: St. Francis Prep (AA) @ St. John the Baptist (A), 1:30 p.m.
  • Fri, 9/7: Cardinal Spellman (A) vs Cardinal Hayes (AA) @ NY Maritime, 7 p.m. (Bronx County Rivals).
  • Sun, 9/9: Bishop Ford (A) vs Kellenberg (AA) @ Hofstra University, 1 p.m.
