   The beaten paths throughout New York State cross country are being carefully manicured as the 2007 season is rapidly approaching the starting line.

   As pre-season and season-opening meets begin in the ensuing weeks, here are some of the top returning runnersfor the upcoming season.

   The list is almost entirely based on information compiled by www.tullyrunners.com, which already has a large amount of content for the upcoming season available.
